The central concept of Daoism is “The Way (Tao)” and it refers to the universe and human beings’ basic psychology of dissatisfaction.
Daoism, which was born in China, influenced both Buddhism and Confucianism, and crossing into Japan it incorporated diviners, giving birth to the uniquely Japanese Onmyoudou, occult divination system based on the Taoist theory of the five elements.
In each country and region, there are various views of religion, influencing each other in a variety of ways. However, there are few philosophies that have so greatly influenced so many teachings as Daoism has.
Light and shadow, life and death, the beginning and the end… we live maintaining a balance between opposites and cycles.
